Work on Miracle Garden Phase Two begins

August 2013

AKAR Landscaping Services and Agriculture has launched the second phase of its eco-tourist attraction Miracle Garden in Dubailand, a Dubai Properties Group (DPG) destination in the UAE.

The second phase involves a 70 per cent expansion of the 721,000-sq-ft garden and an 850,000-sq-ft multistorey car-park, taking the total area of the facility to 2 million sq ft.

Phase Two of the project also includes “a unique flower clock, a butterfly garden, two mosques – one for men and the other for women – children’s attractions, coffee shops, restaurants, retail outlets, pathways and toilets”, Abdel Rahhal, general manager of the UAE-based Akar Landscaping tells Gulf Construction.

Work on this phase was launched in mid-June and is expected to be completed by October, he adds.

Miracle Garden, which opened earlier this year, features a variety of plant and flower species that have been planted to create colourful mosaics and unique designs.

“In addition to the environmental benefits associated with this project, Miracle Garden will provide visitors with ample outdoor recreational space and a number of retail outlets, making it an ideal family day out,” he points out.

Founded in 2001 in Al Ain, Akar Landscaping provides the local market with outdoor and commercial landscaping services offering design, development, operation and maintenance of landscape facilities, development of commercial nurseries, pest control management and related works.

Dubailand is a growing district of Dubai offering a wide range of entertainment, sporting, shopping, leisure and residential amenities including Dubai Sports City, Global Village, MotorCity, Dubai Autodrome, Dubai Outlet Mall, and Al Sahra Desert Resort Equestrian Centre.
